Across generations, the ultimate desire of men have always been to become financially free and attain a level of control over their lives. This desire have grown to become the evil that plaque human race- whether in Africa or Britain because people look for the means to wealth armed with riffles when all that is required is a secret information and a heart that is determined.
It is a popular saying that when the purpose of something is not known, abuse becomes in-inevitable, it is also true that when the root of a cause is not known, the effect becomes less controllable.
Human beings across races have a rush instinct, we want to venture an idea today and by next morning, let money be spinning. We dream to be dangote-rich but we forget to answer the critical defining questions dangote ask before venturing. We are ready to work hard to get rich but we never probe deep enough to realise that the harder the work, the lesser the wealth (Proven! Ask me about it).
Becoming wealthy has to do more with instinct than sweaty effort but because this generation has become less given to reading long articles, I will itemise critical things wealthy people do that makes them who they are:
1. Wealthy people does not have a work instinct rather a vantage instinct: Let it be said that to be rich you will have to use human being as stepping stone - people will labour hard for you while you intelligently relax. Most times, the difference between the "haves and the have not" is that piece of information.
2. Wealthy people does ordinary things in extraordinary ways: Apple product is not special in itself, the psyche they created around their product is the difference (steve job sell ordinary gadgets extraordinarily). Don't think of doing things in the stereotypical way ever if wealth is what you want quick. Most times doing simple things in unusual way requires a big heart but that is what makes the wealthy.
3. Wealthy people labour to get information at the most earliest, privileged time: The only hardwork the wealthy people do is to explore information in a bid to discern unspoken opportunities.
Abundant opportunities abound but only those who are determined to unearth and match unconnected information can take advantage of it.
4. Wealthy people are patient and determined: Nothing happens in a jiffy except those that wont last. Wealthy people understands this, thus, they are determined and unburdened by the road that leads to the light at the end of the tunnel. Determination is key to success as much as the desire to.
5. Wealthy People take risk: Truth is: the more safe you play, the more poor you are! Dangote is investing a loads of billion dollars in oil and gas in Lagos currently, what a risk at a time when conversation is hot on alternative energy. Ofcourse, he might be wrong on the option but the point is we cannot separate calculated risk and wealth - they are sine-qua-non.
